About ME

Hey there! My name is Sydney. Thank you so much for visiting my blog.

If you were curious as to who this girl is writing about the quirks of living in San Francisco, you’ve come to the right place. I moved to San Francisco from my hometown of Roseville California in late 2011 to earn my B.S. in Business at San Francisco State University. I lived on campus at SFSU as well as in the Ingleside district while I attended school. Since then, I’ve experienced living in the Tenderloin, Noe Valley and the SOMA. I currently reside in the Russian Hill/Marina District with my boyfriend Steven. I can often be seen around town enjoying small-plate restaurants and mixed drinks, wandering through home goods/decor shops or taking extensive notes at movie theaters.

I truly thought I knew what to expect when coming here, but needless to say, I had underestimated what this city would teach me and what I would experience. While San Francisco is the exuberant and eccentric place the world has always thought it to be, and its inhabitants consist of some of the most out-going, fun loving and accepting people on the planet, it also attracts self-centered, pretentious and erratic behavior at times. But I guess one can only expect this when living in a city that contains incredible culture, entertainment and art, that also is home to some of the most creative and innovative people and businesses in the nation. But don’t fret. The good experiences outweigh the bad by a long shot, and every year spent here is a fantastic learning experience.

In addition to exploration of the city, I also have a passion for luxury home goods and decor, entertainment and drag culture. I delve deeper into those interests throughout my blog and try to cover a wide range of topics and ideas that fit under the umbrellas of my interests. I am also open to brand deals - particularly in luxury goods marketed towards millennials. You can easily contact me for business inquiries, or even to make a suggestion for a future blogpost, through the page linked below.

I hope you’ll continue to join me in indulging in the many times daunting, sometimes pretentious, but always fascinating world that is San Francisco. Thanks for reading, and stay tuned.
